Hi Everyone! Just before anything its Lowladee.com’s Birthday today! We are two years old yaay! Lol. We decided to do something real nice for our birthday season which has been to support the cause of children that are being victims of sexual abuse/violence. Its appalling to me that instead of condemning or even banning videos that show point blank abuse online, the media publicizes it! and I don’t understand why the media has chosen to become a sleeping giant even at the detriment of children being sexually violated for even public view.

We began the series with a true life story from a victim (http://www.lowladee.com/?p=4483) followed by an interview with Omawumi Megbele (Nigerian Entertainer) to encourage these children especially the young females. Though we did not have  enough resources but as the Editor I realized that you do not have to have ‘enough’ before you make little contributions. I don’t know about you but I do not want my child to ever go through the torture of an abuse or rape, so as parents you should be all alert and sensitive.

Invisible Girl is a non-commercial and online campaign 9minutes short film narrative to reach out to young females especially for have once being/are being victims of sexual violence or abuse.

Essence Of This Short film is not to entertain you! NO! It’s to reach out to wounded hearts and to encourage young girls to speak up instead of dying in silence. It is to spur parents to be on their feet and know that sexual abuse is real and can happen to any child, even right under one’s nose. The essence of this video is for us to realize that as a society its our collective responsibility to protect our children!

Be Involved In The  500 school Libraries Project

It is not enough to just keep this online. We need to reach directly to our target audience by making this DVDs available to School Libraries for free i.e one DVD to each school library.

Medicon, the only rape crisis center in Nigeria has supported us with making available funds for the short video to be burned into HD Format for DVDs to be distributed to 100 school Libraries for free.
